Chetco Bar Fire Air Quality Outlook (Chetco Bar Fire Wildfire)

Smoke: Very heavy smoke impacts continue to be seen in local communities surrounding the Chetco Bar Fire, including Brookings, Agness, Grants Pass and Cave Junction. Northerly winds will pick up today and help mix in clearer air in areas North of the fire such as Gold Beach and Agness. Communities to the South, East and West are expected to see some improvement, but likely remain in the Unhealthy to Very Unhealthy range. Expect continued reduced visibility along Highways 101, 199 and other local roadways again. Note that smoke from other fires will be transported over the area contributing to poor air quality.
